What is the biggest challenge currently facing your industry and how are you responding to it? An inability to come through complex or “wicked issues,” or a type of problem or issue where there is limited agreement on what the problem really is, no clear owner of the problem or known cause or authority, compounded with information overload that [clouds] the ability to organize thoughts. I focused on building a functional mindset within the team. A functional mindset ensures a pragmatic approach that allows the team and organization [to manage] the constant bombardment of information, and to pay attention to only the things that matter in relation to the problem at hand.

What was your first job? My first job was working at the local bait and tackle shop.
What is your greatest attribute that you bring to your job? My excitement for problem-solving and my drive for continuous improvement.
What is your favorite personal activity/pastime away from the office? During spring, summer and fall, I spend my time in the garden, hiking and paddle boarding. During the winter, I like to spend my time skiing.
