PROVIDENCE – The Southern New England Start! Heart Walk will take place on Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 8 a.m. at Colt State Park in Bristol, R.I. The American Heart Association encourages companies, families and friends to create a team and register at sneheartwalk.org. No minimum donation is required.

Last year, over 2,000 participants raised more than $360,000 for the fight against heart disease and stroke. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the event. The American Heart Association uses the funds to finance cutting-edge scientific research, conduct public and professional educational programs and advocate for public health.
