PROVIDENCE – To help prepare students for careers in food production and similar professions, Johnson & Wales University recently launched its fully online, one-year professional culinary skills certificate program.

JWU says the program will require students to successfully demonstrate mastery of each culinary skill before moving onto the next module. The university says it partnered with The Guild, a company that works to connect employers with education opportunities, to offer the new certificate program to employees at various partner institutions. The Walt Disney Co. and Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. are among the institutions partnering with The Guild and JWU for this program, JWU says.
