TAUNTON – Kopin Corp., maker of electronics and semiconductors, has won a two-year contract with the U.S. Army worth $27 million to provide high-performance eyepieces for the Thermal Weapon Sight Bridge program.
Kopin said the devices use its low-power CyberDisplay 640M LVR display, which it introduced at the Defense, Security and Sensing 2010 Symposium in Florida. It is designed to operate at temperatures as low as -40 degrees Celsius.
