What was your first job? I was a soccer referee at the Ocean State Soccer School in North Kingstown.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self? I would advise my 22-year-old self that you do not need to impress anyone but yourself; you are your own hero.
What moment changed your life more than any other? The death of my 19-year-old brother John from cancer in 2011 changed my life forever. John loved dogs. I became an attorney and a passionate advocate for animals because of John’s unwavering confidence in me to help animals.
What is your greatest attribute that you bring to your job? The ability to alchemize my prior sufferings into empathy for others – people and animals.
What is your favorite Rhode Island food or drink? Anything from Plant City.
What was your last streaming or cable binge watch? “Ozark.”
What led you to pursuing a career in your current industry? I’m unsure – it’s pretty taxing.
