How has COVID-19 changed your industry? There have been more remote meetings, hearings and depositions. While remote proceedings and Zoom are here to stay, courts and other public bodies are beginning to hold in-person trials, hearings and open meetings. It is always helpful to see colleagues and clients in person, but virtual meetings will always be a part of the practice going forward.

What is the best advice you have ever received? Through both his words and actions, my dad constantly instilled in me the importance of the golden rule, to always treat others as you would want to be treated.

Where do you see yourself in five years? I hope to be a regular at my kids’ sports games and extracurricular activities and continuing to provide valued advice to both business and health care clients.

What moment changed your life more than any other? Running into (literally) a law student in the grade above me in the hallway of school, and mentioning the run-in to a friend. I’m married to him now!

Fox or MSNBC? The Washington Post (my hometown paper).

What led you to pursuing a career in your current industry? I found my specific niche as an attorney after working on litigation and health care matters as a law clerk and a junior attorney. I found mentors both in the judiciary and at my office who helped me learn the specific fields and realize that I enjoyed working with the attorneys and clients in my fields.
