Lighthouse was chosen from among all of IBM’s business partner communities, including resellers, consultants and integrators, as well as independent software vendors. Its selection marked the first time IBM has given the award to a regionally-focused partner.
“Lighthouse was selected as a winner of the Business Partner Excellence Award based on its ability to deliver cutting-edge innovative value to customers while working closely with IBM to both create and deliver solutions and technologies to customers,” Ayman Antoun, vice president of IBM Business Partners Americas, said in a statement today. “By building collaborative relationships and driving a commitment to innovation, Lighthouse delivers unique, integrated solutions that address important business issues for clients.”
Lincoln-based Lighthouse had $114 million in sales of IBM hardware, software and other offerings in 2007, mostly to customers in New England, New York and New Jersey. The company has made significant investments in its IBM business, including its Business Partner Innovation Center, which is equipped with more than $2 million in hardware and software available for demonstration.
“When I started Lighthouse in 1995, I had just a few steady customers and three main ideas about the business,” said Thomas C. Mrva, CEO of Lighthouse Computer Services. “The first idea was to put customer satisfaction first in everything we do. The second idea was to hire the very best technical talent available. And the third idea was to be a regional company.
“Winning IBM’s Business Partner Excellence Award is just an amazing feeling, looking back on how far the business has come by following those three main concepts.”
