What is the biggest challenge currently facing your industry and how are you responding to it? My clients are primarily nonprofit organizations who have been remembered in a donor’s last will and testament or trust. Unfortunately, wills and trusts are often poorly drafted and leave behind ambiguous gift instruments that put the donor’s charitable bequests in jeopardy. My job is to advocate for the nonprofit and attempt to honor what the donor truly intended.

What is the best advice you have ever received? When I was young, my mom always used to tell me that “you get more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.”
What was your first job? Summer camp counselor at Moses Brown School.
What is your favorite Rhode Island food or drink? Team Del’s!
What is your favorite personal activity/pastime away from the office? Going to Martha’s Vineyard in the summer with my family.
What led you to pursuing a career in your current industry? I wanted to advocate for those without a voice, to approach challenges with thoughtful problem-solving skills, and to facilitate positive outcomes that simplify and improve the lives of others.
