Massachusetts driver records now online

BOSTON – The Mass. Registry of Motor Vehicles announced last week that the state’s drivers will now be able to view their driving record online and have the ability to download or request a certified copy.
The records are available on the agency’s Web site, www.mass.gov/rmv.
“We are particularly excited about our newest Web site customer convenience,” said Massachusetts Registrar Rachel Kaprielian. “Requests for driving records keep our employees in the branches and driver-control unit, at the call center and in our mail operation very busy. Giving customers a quicker and easier way to obtain copies of these documents should help reduce some demand on all these departments.”
Last year, customers requested more than 57,000 driver records from the RMV, the agency said in a release. •
