Mike Dawson has joined the public relations team at North Star Marketing Inc., in Wickford. His job entails communicating with local media on behalf of clients, editing and copy writing. He began his journalism career in 1988 at The Standard-Times in North Kingstown, followed by a term at The Narragansett Times. He most recently worked as a freelance journalist and public relations agent. He has a B.A. from the University of Montana School of Journalism.
