GROTON, Conn. (20, August 2013) – On July 22, Chelsea Groton Bank welcomed new Senior Vice President and Retail Lending Manager Mike Sheahan to its Executive Team. Basedat the bank’s 904 Poquonnock Road, Groton office, Sheahan is responsible for the growth of retail residential lending throughout Eastern Connecticut and Rhode Island. ChelseaGroton’s residential lending group originates and services the bank’s loans to consumers, which includes residential mortgages and home equity loan products.

Most recently, Sheahan was senior vice president at Simsbury Bank as head of their mortgage and consumer lending departments. Prior to that he was senior vice president at Webster Bank, leading their mortgage lending division; general manager of Harland Financial Services’ e-commerce division; chief financial officer at Centerbank Mortgage Company; senior vice president at Fleet Bank; and audit manager at Ernst & Young.
Mike graduated from University of Connecticut in 1982 with his Finance degree. He earned his CPA in 1986.
