SHELTON, Conn. – Those looking for housing sales and pricing information have a new online tool at their disposal.
William Raveis Real Estate, Mortgage & Insurance launched a new piece of its interactive market conditions database last month. The “Raw Data” tab pulls information from the multiple listing services kept by Realtor associations in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Online visitors can see sales data broken down by state, county and town. Raveis presents the most recent data – typically the prior month – as well as year-to-date figures and year-over-year comparisons for sales and median prices.
“We’re trying to give a snapshot of the major market indicators here,” said Supriya Anand, a spokeswoman for the company.
For Rhode Island, the same data is available at the Rhode Island Association of Realtors website. However, unlike the Realtors site, the Raveis database allows visitors to sort data with the click of a button and produce graphs showing sales and prices over time.
The new “raw data” complements the existing database, which includes lists of prior sales and summaries of county and state data.
“We crunch the numbers for you so you can get the snapshot,” Anand said.
