“However, New England Tech sees the need for an undergraduate program that will create an entire next-generation computer science professional possessing a deep understanding of the design, operation, and ethical application of AI,” Sherman said.
New England Tech said the new program will train undergraduate students to “harness the power” of AI to improve people’s lives, as well as advance business, medical and institutional goals through innovative applications.
Graduates from the program are expected to work in multiple industries, including in health care, banking, software development, logistics management, infrastructure operations and education.
