TIVERTON – The Longplex Family Fitness & Sports Center is nearing completion, according to an update published by DiPrete Engineering, which is handling site design and other aspects of the work.

The 187,000-square-foot building is owned by Jim Long of Middletown. It will provide an indoor and outdoor space for sports and family activities.

Ryan Family Amusements will install a gym, a running track, a bounce house and video arcade on the second floor.

The facility also will include two turf fields, volleyball and basketball courts, a karate center and an outdoor ice rink.
