PROVIDENCE – Providence Business News is introducing some changes to our Web site today that we believe will offer a richer experience to both longtime subscribers and new readers.
The biggest change is the addition of an electronic version of Providence Business News’ weekly print edition to PBN.com. The e-edition, which allows print and online subscribers to page through the newspaper as it appears in print, will be available every week on Saturday morning, before the print edition hits newsstands and mailboxes.

The e-edition also gives subscribers the option of printing or downloading as a PDF either the entire issue or individual pages. A separate Current Issue page will continue to feature HTML versions of the stories and will be available on Saturday mornings, as well.
The Web site has gotten a refresh as well, starting with the home page and the landing pages for PBN’s 17 news topics, from Business Women and Education to Newsmakers and Technology.
Each day, the PBN.com home page will now highlight a trio of stories from the current print edition alongside our lead story, breaking news updates and weekly poll.
As always, PBN subscribers can access all of our content online. Nonsubscribers will continue to be able to read some breaking news stories, as well as most stories in PBN’s daily e-newsletters.
For a limited time, registered users of PBN.com who are not yet subscribers are being offered a special discounted subscription – click here for more information.
Later this week, I will be answering questions from readers about the new PBN.com here on the site. If you have questions, please send them to our Web editor, Ted Nesi, at nesi@pbn.com.
