PROVIDENCE – The 13-story building that includes the headquarters of Citizens Financial Group Inc. will be sold at auction on Sept. 25, according to a website for the commercial real estate auctioneer.
The property, One Citizens Plaza, is owned by One Citizens Plaza Holdings LLC, which has as a contact CW Capital Asset Management LLC of West Bethesda, Md., according to the website. Citizens Bank is the anchor tenant and occupies about 66,500 square feet of the building, about one-third of the available floor space.

The building is described as Class A office space, with multiple tenants. The sale is being presented by CB Richard Ellis Capital Markets and RealINSIGHTS Marketplace, according to the posting. In 2016, the building was assessed by the city at $45.4 million.
The sale is expected to start at noon on Sept. 25, with minimum starting bids of $11 million.
The building is 82 percent leased and has 10 tenants, according to the description of the property. Also occupying the building are Merrill Lynch and Ameriprise as well as several law firms. Their staggered lease terms run through February 2029.
In all, 40,401 square feet in the building is available for lease.
