PROVIDENCE – OneWayLimo.com, an online booking company for luxury transportation, has launched its limousine rental services for transit to and from all Rhode Island airports, including T.F. Green Airport, as well as for special events.

OneWayLimo operates similarly to rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft. Using the OneWayLimo web and mobile app, customers can book a ride in a private limo from one of OneWayLimo’s partnered limousine companies. The booking system allows limo companies to fill empty vehicles and increase their revenue, while passing along significant savings to customers, who can book discounted luxury service at up to 50 percent off regional limo rates.

“Our goal is to work with the entire black car market and offer travelers an alternative to Uber and Lyft,” said Joe Salemme, president and founder of OneWayLimo, in a release. “Customers simply log onto OneWayLimo.com for access to licensed, insured, clean and professionally operated vehicles at significantly reduced rates. OWL is doing for limo companies what Priceline and Expedia did for the airlines and hotels.”

Based in Shelton, Conn., OneWayLimo has offered thousands of rides since its launch in 2015, and now provides service in 11 states, including Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The company expects to expand its service to all 50 states by the middle of 2018, according to OneWayLimo spokesperson Desiree Tavares.

“Many of our customers are shocked that they can get curb-to-curb service from a professional and insured company at these low prices,” said Tavares. “It’s good for the industry and good for consumers.”
