Paramount to develop Navy combat control system

MIDDLETOWN – Paramount Solutions Inc. has been awarded $1.6 million to develop an advanced combat control system for Navy submarines.
“We are extremely proud to have been chosen to develop and coordinate the [Combat Control for Distributed Netted Systems] program with both NavSea in Washington, D.C., and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport,” Amrita Dutta-Gupta, the company’s chief financial officer, said in a statement today.
The new model will integrate and adapt sensors, information systems, platforms and weapons systems into a distributed network. The goal is to avoid both bottlenecks and information overload, Paramount said, providing the right information, at the right time, in the right amount.
“Due to the efforts and foresight of Sen. Jack Reed, we will be able to provide the Navy with the ability to fully integrate all aspects of command and control data management,” Dutta-Gupta said. “Our new CCDNS program will help to fully integrate the command platform and its sensor and weapons systems with that of the battle group itself. This will, in turn, provide the fleet with the latest technology available while also providing enhanced security to those inside its walls.”
