WARWICK – The region’s business leaders were celebrated at the Providence Business News Best Places to Work 2018 event Thursday evening at the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick. The event, in its 13th year, drew more than 700 guests.

The competition recognizes companies of all sizes in the region for their progressive human resources policies, as well as for their engaged and satisfied employees. PBN presents the results of the program, which is conducted by Best Companies Group, a national research firm that sets benchmarks for HR policies and conducts anonymous surveys of companies that apply to the program.

This year, 52 companies were recognized in four categories, which were based on number of employees a company has in the region.

This year’s winners were:

  • Large Companies (150-499 employees): Navigant Credit Union
  • Midsize Companies (50-149 employees): Edward Jones
  • Small Companies (15-49): Vertikal6

All four companies also won in their respective categories in 2017.

In addition to revealing the rankings of the 52 companies at the event, PBN awarded four on-site Spirit Awards to National Marker Co., Healthcentric Advisors, the Rhode Island Foundation and The Town Dock.

Winners of the Spirit Awards will receive on-site massages for employees from Massage Envy.
