PBN names 2018 Healthiest Employers

THIRTY-NINE WINNERS have been selected in the sixth Healthiest Employers program put on by Providence Business News. Winners will be announced Wednesday, Aug. 9.

PROVIDENCE – Providence Business News has named the 34 winners in the 2018 edition of the Healthiest Employers recognition program.

Winners were chosen based on responses to 65 questions that encompass communication and marketing, culture and leadership commitment, foundation components, programming and interventions, reporting and analysis, and strategic planning by organizations to promote wellness.

Winners will be celebrated at an Aug. 9 luncheon at the Providence Marriott Downtown where their rankings will be revealed. This year, Kate McDonald, CEO and founder of bnourished, will be the keynote speaker.

The evaluation and scoring of the applications was done by Healthiest Employer LLC, which works with more than 6,000 employers across the nation to promote workplace wellness and provide the information for organizations to improve their staffs’ health. Winners have been divided into five categories based on the number of company employees.

The presenting sponsor of the event is Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. Partner sponsors are CVS Health Corp., and Tufts Health Plan.
