CUMBERLAND – Taunton-based Bristol County Savings Bank recently hired Michael Peterson to manage the bank’s Cumberland branch.
Peterson, a North Providence resident, has been named assistant vice president and branch manager for the office at 2152 Mendon Road. Previously, Peterson was a vice president-store manager at TD Bank branches in Cranston, as well as Massachusetts branches in Ashland and Holliston. He was also assistant vice president-store manager at TD Bank in Mansfield, Mass.

Bristol County Savings Bank has operated a Cumberland branch since acquiring Freedom National Bank in 2020 and taking over its Cumberland and Smithfield locations. The bank has three branch locations and $239.5 million in deposits in the Rhode Island market, according to Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. 2023 data.
The bank recently opened a commercial loan office in downtown Providence.
