Polaris MEP to host free lunch and learn to discuss lean management

PROVIDENCE – Polaris MEP, which stands for manufacturing extension partnership, will host a free lunch and learn event on Thursday at 315 Iron Horse Way.

Polaris MEP Project Manager Nathan Bonds will discuss the principles of lean management and the story behind the foundation of lean behavior. Bonds has more than 20 years of manufacturing experience in automotive, injection molding, electroplating, manual hand-spraying and other industries.

Lean tools such as 5S and value stream mapping will not be covered, but the mindset behind lean tools will be the focus.

The session is designed for managers, supervisors, team leaders and lean practitioners looking to improve services to customers, according to Polaris MEP.

The session will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
