NIKKI VERGAKES KNOWS that managing social media accounts, building an online presence and attracting ideal customers is vital for new businesses. She also knows that using the internet as a marketing tool can be a full-time job.
As a style and food blogger, Vergakes, 24, was already comfortable with online platforms aimed at developing like-minded communities when she began helping a friend manage social media accounts for her business.
“Doing that definitely inspired me to do it full time,” she said. “I really just meet people where they’re at in their needs and create a program that works for them.”
Her company, Cultivated Content, was officially created in June. So far, Vergakes, of Providence, has four clients, including some on the West Coast. In addition to helping companies reach potential customers online, she optimizes social media posts, times them and engages with audiences on behalf of businesses.
Soon, she hopes to offer coaching for entrepreneurs looking to manage their own accounts.
“That’s also been the sort of mentorship and entrepreneurial part that I love to do,” she said.
