Provider Insurance Group Inc. recently awarded college scholarships to the grand-prize winner and runner-up of a music-video competition it held for youths in the RiverzEdge Arts Project.
Provider Insurance asked the RiverzEdge teens to make music videos for the company that were then placed on YouTube for the public to vote. Based on the public vote and the decision of an internal judging team, one video was selected to be used for marketing purposes on Provider’s website.
“It’s so fulfilling to be in a position where we can give back to our clients as well as help our local community,” said Bill Darcey, president and CEO of Provider Insurance. “These teens are looking to better themselves and get some real-world experience and we are happy that we can help them in a small way.”
This year’s grand-prize winner, receiving a $1,000 scholarship, was Mike Bailey Gates for his video, “On Fire.” Jalizza Ramos took second place with “Provider Video,” earning a $500 scholarship. &#8226
