Pulitzer-winning writer to speak on ‘green’ tech

PROVIDENCE — Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times columnist Thomas L. Friedman is set to speak at Brown University on April 22.
Friedman’s Earth Day address, free and open to the public, will take place at 6 p.m. in the Salomon Center for Teaching.
The event is sponsored by Brown’s Environmental Change Initiative as part of its spring speaker series, “Going Green, Globally: Scientific, Economic and Political Perspectives.”
Friedman will discuss the economic and foreign policy implications of “green” technology.
