QRI acquires East Providence-based Loflin Group

CRANSTON – Staffing and consulting service Qualified Resources International LLC today announced its acquisition of financial and accounting recruiting firm The Loflin Group Inc. Financial terms were not disclosed.
“The Loflin Group has maintained a standard of excellence and built a reputable business based on quality, customer satisfaction and a strong commitment of excellence,” QRI President Timothy J. Harrington Jr. said in a statement this afternoon.
The firm – a past recipient of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s annual Blue Chip Enterprise Initiative Award – has closed its former East Providence offices and its three staff members have moved to the QRI headquarters in Cranston, Loflin Group spokeswoman Martha Nailor told Providence Business News today. “All business is being conducted at this point out of the Cranston corporate headquarters,” she said.
Ken Loflin said he had decided to sell to Qualified Resources “because of their ability to deliver high-caliber talent, their outstanding reputation as a leader in the industry and their success in providing innovative, cost-effective staffing solutions to their clients.”
The move follows QRI’s acquisition this fall of Monroe Staffing, a $40 million private company based in Monroe, Conn., which gave the firm 12 locations in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts. (READ MORE)
“We have expansion plans for the East Coast,” Lisa J. Burns, QRI’s manager of operations and business development, told Providence Business News in November. “For 2008, we’ll really be looking at where our capabilities are right now.”
