MANSFIELD – Quadrant Software, a provider of electronic document management software primarily for the IBM iSeries, has been acquired by private investors for an undisclosed sum, The Sun Chronicle reported Wednesday.
Boston-based private equity firm Candescent Partners led the acquisition and included Harbert Mezzanine Capital, Bush O’Donnell Capital Partners, Massachusetts Capital Resource Co. and Brooke Private Equity Associates as investors.

Quadrant Software, whose North America headquarters are based at 120 Forbes Blvd., will have a new CEO at the helm, Stephen Woodard. The company was purchased from co-founders and CEOs Peter DePierro and Gary J. Langton.
Woodard said there are no planned changes in operations, according to The Sun Chronicle. Quadrant currently employs 20 people.
