For instance, the Warwick-based diagnostic imaging provider puts its employees to the challenge, per se, throughout the year. One initiative that’s an employee favorite is RIMI’s month-long walking challenge held every May.
Employees can participate in the challenge either individually or in groups of up to four.
“We award prizes to the top three teams and individuals,” said Jennifer Voyer, director of human resources and payroll. “That is just a way to continue to incentivize our employees to stay active while having a little bit of healthy competition as well.”
The company helps employees ease financial and mental health pressures with its student loan repayment assistance program – a new benefit offered at Rhode Island Medical Imaging to get staff out of debt, Voyer said.
“[It] helps reduce the life of the loans overall,” she said. “Financial wellness is a huge part of wellness overall, and just for the mental health of our employees.”
