From the outset, Twitchell was determined to be different.
“We’re not your average facilitators. We listen to understand. We lead with vulnerability,” she said.
She’s proud of the way her firm has revolutionized workplace development.
“The corporate development space was fundamentally broken. Too much focus was on the bottom line, not strategic growth. Companies were losing sight of the need to be people before professionals,” she said.
Disrupting the industry meant more than modern approaches to client experience.
“For me, it also meant living our value of finding a way to always give back,” she said.
The business model is working. The company surpassed its five-year growth plan by 37%, poising Half Full for an incredible growth year in its 20th anniversary year. In 2024, Half Full acquired Advancing Workplace Excellence, more than doubling revenue, team size and client portfolio, with jobs increasing 412.5% – from four to 20. Last year, Half Full donated more than $30,000 to nonprofits and Youth Forward, plus hundreds of staff hours in the community.
Twitchell’s past, in part, predicted the present.
“I was the kid who thought ‘anything you can do, I can do better.’ My dad was a pastor, so that’s my social impact commitment. My mother was an artist with her own business – that’s my entrepreneur instincts,” she said.
Although recognized numerous times for her leadership, she’s humble when asked what makes her great.
“I’m just me. Leadership is hard, audacious. I’ve been able to lead. I’m still learning,” she said.
There have been so many wins, but what makes her most proud?
“The fact that we have been around 21 years, that clients trust us, that’s validating. I’m living my best life, doing what I adore,” she said.
