SMITHFIELD – The privately owned New England Online Properties LLC today announced the launch of RI4rent.com, a Web site offering rental listings and property management resources.
RI4rent.com isn’t just for apartments. It also will feature retail space and commercial offices, as well as houses, townhouses and condominiums, the company said.
NEOP said its inclusive approach will offer “much-needed exposure opportunities for other types of rental opportunities that are currently underserved,” such as summer, beach and vacation rentals, or temporary housing for relocated executives and their families.
Searchers may specify property type; location, by city, county or ZIP Code; size; number of bathrooms or bedrooms, for residential properties; and price range. An advanced search page offers additional options.
Each property listing in the searchable database gets a page of its own that includes the address, a text description, tables of property, lease and contact information and space for several photographs. Links take viewers to a map showing the property’s location or to other listings by the same owner.
“I just posted two of my own properties,” Ilanna Ball, Broker/owner of Re/Max Finest in Woonsocket said in a statement today. “I found it easier to use than MLS. It was actually fun.”
Searches are free, though listings so far are limited to a few residential units. Competition – apart from various real estate agency sites and the Rhode Island Association of Realtors’ www.RIliving.com – includes the Beverly, Mass.-based Investment Instruments Corp.’s property management service iiProperty.com. Property managers and owners who sign up with RI4rent.com through the end of November will be allowed to post their listings for free through the end of the year.
Regular prices will be $59.95 for a one-time, 30-day “standard” listing, including a free yard sign, or $14.95 per month for the EZ Manager membership that includes free online tools, including lease and rental agreements; unlimited archiving of past property profiles and photos, so a listing is turned off (not deleted) when a unit is rented; plus discounts on property listings and photography services.
