EAST PROVIDENCE – The city of East Providence has received $100,000 for improvements to Riverside Square. The funds will be used to create a new landscaping plan for the square with interactive signs intended to draw more visitors from the East Bay Bike Path.

The funds will support a “smart design” to include landscaping, public art, and a community board with a QR-code reader where people can see a map of local businesses and nonprofits.
