Rockland Trust parent sets 17-cent dividend

ROCKLAND, Mass. – Independent Bank Corp. (Nasdaq: INDB), parent of Rockland Trust Co., yesterday announced a 6-percent increase in its quarterly dividend.

The company’s board of directors has declared a dividend of 17 cents per share, payable April 6 to shareholders of record at the close of business March 26.

In addition, the board of trustees of Independent’s subsidiary business unit, Independent Capital Trust IV (Nasdaq: INDBM), has declared a quarterly distribution on its 8.375 percent cumulative trust preferred securities. A distribution of 52.34375 cents per preferred security is payable April 2 to holders of record March 30.
