Survey: Webster a top workplace

WATERBURY, Conn. – Webster Bank earned a ranking as one of the Top Workplaces in western Connecticut, based on a survey administered to 1,237 bank employees.
The bank earned the honors in the “large companies” category (those with 250 or more employees), as determined by the survey, which was administered by Workplace Dynamics, a human resources survey and consulting firm.
“This ranking is a tribute to all Webster bankers, who live and work according to our Webster Way core values,” said Jeff Brown, executive vice president and chief administrative officer at the bank.
Eighty-six percent of Webster employees surveyed return the questionnaire, for a participation rate of 86 percent, much higher than the 60 percent participation rate for all employees surveyed by Workplace Dynamics.
The 24-question survey focused on six key areas: direction, execution, career, conditions, managers, and pay and benefits.
