WILMINGTON, Mass. – Textron Systems, a systems provider in the areas of defense, homeland security and aerospace, said it is splitting its AAI operating division into three separate businesses on Tuesday.
The three units are: AAI Unmanned Aircraft Systems, AAI Test & Training, and AAI Logistics & Technical Services to be led by Steven Reid, Bob Peters and Diane Giuliani, respectively.

“These changes will enable each business to better support our customers’ current and future needs, while also making our company more efficient,” said Fred Strader, Textron Systems president and CEO, in a news release.
The three separate businesses will continue to operate out of Hunt Valley, Md.
Reid, Peters and Giuliani were promoted to senior vice presidents and general managers of the businesses, all reporting to Strader. AAI’s current senior vice president, Ellen Lord, will take over leadership at Textron Defense Systems.
