With over 16 years of increasing responsibility in career education roles, Cerio will focus her new position on enhancing existing relationships in the community to drive student job placements.
Having worked at Lincoln Technical Institute, a post-secondary technical school in Rhode Island, for the past 7 years, Cerio is excited to have an impact on a degree granting institution. “My goal is to take this position to the next level by holding fun and exciting workshops and motivate students to be proactive with their career planning,” said Cerio.

Prior to joining Dean, Thea served as the Director of Career Services at Lincoln Technical Institute. She previously served as a School Based Coordinator at Smithfield High School and a Transitional Resources Specialist at Goodwill Industries of Rhode Island. Cerio holds a B.S. in Communicative Disorders with a minor in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island. She resides in Cranston, Rhode Island.
