A key feature of the North Kingstown-based polyester film manufacturer’s health and wellness program for employees is its on-site education and wellness center. The center offers a full-sized court for basketball and volleyball, as well as a track and fitness studio.
The company encourages physical fitness and fosters a sense of community among its employees. Toray also hosts a multitude of community-driven initiatives for employees to participate in, including clothing donation drives and children’s book drives. Additionally, Toray hosts employee appreciation events, such as cookouts, ice cream socials and family fun days.
“Our approach to wellness is a holistic one,” Toray Senior Director of Human Resources Rhonda Arsenault said. “We try to meet our employees where they are. We focus not only on physical health and safety specifically in the workplace [but] we also look to overall mental and financial health.”
