WESTERLY – The boards of directors of two local, publicly traded banks recently declared their third-quarter dividends. Both were unchanged from the previous three-month period.
The directors of Washington Trust Bancorp Inc., parent of Westerly-based The Washington Trust Co., last week announced a dividend of 21 cents per share for the quarter ending Sept. 30. Shareholders of record on Sept. 30 will receive payment on Oct 14.
Meanwhile, the directors at Independent Bank Corp., parent of Rockland Trust Co. in Rockland, Mass., declared an 18-cents-per-share dividend for stockholders of record at the close of business on Sept. 27. The dividend will be paid on Oct. 8.
