NORTH PROVIDENCE – An underground stormwater basin, delivered in 296 pieces, will service the new Public Safety building on Mineral Spring Avenue.

DiPrete Engineering Associates, of Cranston, teamed up with StormTrap, an Illinois-based manufacturer of modular concrete stormwater-management systems, as well as J.R. Vinagro Corp., of Johnston.
Because Mineral Spring Avenue is densely developed, the oversized system was needed to provide the required treatment and detention, according to the engineers.
Installation will take place over the next several weeks.
