WARWICK – The Warwick Mall has a new look; its new logo and color scheme were unveiled during the 40th anniversary celebration on Oct. 17, which also highlighted the reopening of its renovated space following the historic spring flooding.
Since the “preview” event on Aug. 20, the Warwick Mall has reopened 85 percent of its stores, including Target, Old Navy and JCPenny. Macy’s is expected to open in the spring.
The mall has 63,000 square feet of new flooring throughout the food court and main concourse, all of which has been outfitted with new porcelain tile, said North Star Marketing, a marketing firm hired by Warwick Mall for its rebranding initiative. Some of the new tile was imported from Italy.
Other features include a new children’s carousel, a high-definition wide-screen monitor, newly lighted artificial topiary tress, and new washing stations and restrooms.
North Star’s rebranding proposal was selected in July and has worked since then to develop the new signage, a new website and has also established Facebook and Twitter pages for the mall. Additionally, the firm has produced a 40th anniversary commemorative video as well as print and radio advertising for its client.
“We knew we wanted to make a splash in honor of our 40th birthday,” said Aram Garabedian, a Warwick Mall co-manager along with Mark Brennan and Dan Bliss. “North Star really wowed us.”
