WashTrust finances bus purchase

WESTERLY – The Washington Trust Co.’s commercial lending group recently provided financing to G. DiCostanzo Inc., which operates as Flagship Trailways Bus Lines in Cranston, to buy a new coach bus.
The new coach will allow the company to expand in the Northeast market, the bank said.
For more than 25 years, Flagship Trailways Bus Lines, owned by Thomas McCaughey, has been providing charter bus services to the Northeast, New York, Canada and – through their Trailways affiliation – service to the rest of the continental United States
“Flagship Bus Lines has been providing bus services to the Northeast for many years,” said Joseph J. MarcAurele, president and chief operating officer, Washington Trust. “We wish them continued success as they continually expand their market area.”
Washington Trust’s commercial lending group – led by Joseph M. Confessore, vice president and team leader – provides businesses numerous credit and cash management products.
Washington Trust Bancorp Inc. (Nasdaq: WASH) is the parent of The Washington Trust Co., a Rhode Island-chartered bank founded in 1800 that has offices in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and southeastern Connecticut. Additional information is available at www.WashTrust.com.
