PROVIDENCE – Whole Foods Market’s three stores in Rhode Island have scheduled a 5% Day event for Tuesday, Sept. 21, pledging to donate 5 percent of net sales that day to the Integrative Care Program in the Program in Women’s Oncology at Women & Infants Hospital.
“One of Whole Foods Markets’ core values is to support nonprofit charitable organizations in its community,” says Bonnie Frechette, marketing team leader at the market. “We selected the Integrative Care Program this quarter as it provides a multitude of wellness programs to people in the Rhode Island community who are undergoing cancer treatment, or are a cancer survivor, regardless of where they receive treatment or their ability to pay.
“Our holistic therapies and interventions can often help soothe some of the adverse symptoms and side effects experienced during the cancer continuum,” said Kristin Dalbec, assistant coordinator of the program. To learn more, call (401) 274-1122, ext. 8756. •
