PROVIDENCE – Roger Williams Park Zoo is asking the public to help name one of its newest arrivals: A baby giraffe born earlier this month at the zoo.
Zoo officials said that mother Sukari gave birth after 90 minutes of labor to a male calf 6 feet tall, weighing in at between 125 and 140 pounds.
Both mother and calf are said to be doing well.
