PROVIDENCE — The Rhode Island State Energy Office today released its weekly survey of more than 20 gas stations statewide, showing an overall slight decrease in the average price per gallon of gasoline.
According to the survey, the average price per gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline is currently $1.77, down one cent from last week’s $1.78. The average price per gallon of self-serve, mid-grade gasoline is $1.86, down from $1.88 last week; and the average price per gallon of self-serve, premium gasoline is $1.94, down from $1.96 last week.

The average prices per gallon of full-serve gasoline are as follows: $1.92 for regular; $1.99 for mid-grade; and 2.06 for premium. The corresponding prices for last week were $1.92, $2.00, and $2.07, respectively.
The average price per gallon of diesel fuel is currently $1.72, compared to $1.74 a week ago.
