SINCE COVID-19 ACCELLERATED a shift to telemedicine, it’s become an attractive benefit in dentistry. Last year, Altus revenue topped out at $86.3 million and climbed 25.1% in 2022 compared with 2020.

Since launching in 2001, the Providence-based subsidiary of Delta Dental of Rhode Island has grown to more than 220,000 members through Massachusetts, Rhode Island and southern New Hampshire and delivers “affordable, flexible, comprehensive dental benefits,” Muscatello said via email.

Muscatello also nods to other enhanced benefits that bolstered company strength, including an expansion into the vision market, in partnership with VSP Vision Care. The company continues to focus on essential products, with careful attention to customer service.

“Altus also maintained staffing levels during this challenging time, and provided relief to providers,” she said.
