What modifications have you made to your workplace to support employee wellness? During the pandemic, we rolled out many wellness and fitness programs that can be accessed virtually. We don’t anticipate those going away but will be an added tool, especially now that we have more staff working in a hybrid model or full-time remote.

How do you support community service work by your employees? Volunteering within the community is so important. It’s equally important to Amgen that we offer each staff member eight paid hours off per calendar year to volunteer in a community service. Before the pandemic, over 65% of our staff participated in a community activity. They are clamoring to get back out in the community.
