(Middletown, RI)– Child and Family Services and the Ophelia Program presents “An Evening with Rhode Island School of Design’s Up and Coming Industry Stars”. Sunday April 11th from 5-7pm at the Castle Hill Inn and Resort, students from RISD’s Apparel and Design School
will be showcasing their talents and experiences. Portfolio pieces that could earn these students positions at top fashion houses will be featured. This free event will be an opportunity for young women between the ages of 11 and 18 to get an up-close view of the fashion trendsetters of the future while enjoying dinner.
“Ophelia Sessions offer girls and young women the opportunity to get together over a free dinner, meet amazing women, and talk about living life, challenges, and problem solving.” Sharon Rust-Bottone, Coordinator of the Ophelia program for Child and Family explains. “It’s an opportunity to talk openly about things that girls and teens, ages 11 through 18, really care about: everything from boys and relationships to career possibilities and creativity.”
