Annual conference on R.I.’s health care landscape scheduled for May 18 at RIC

PROVIDENCE – The Rhode Island chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives will host its annual health care environmental scan on May 18 at Rhode Island College, according to a Hospital Association of Rhode Island statement. The event, from 5:30-8 p.m., will be at RIC’s Student Union Ballroom, 600 Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence.

Marianne Raimondo, an assistant professor and program director of the health care administration program at RIC, will present the keynote, “Rhode Island’s Healthcare Landscape.” Raimondo’s presentation will highlight Rhode Island’s initiatives aimed at delivery system transformation, at-risk managed care contracts, workforce-development initiatives, the mental health crisis and utilization, financial trends and national health care initiatives.

HARI Chair Dr. Christopher Lehrach will moderate a panel discussion among key health care leaders: Allison Bernier, director of care integration, The Providence Center; Joan Kwiatkowksi, CEO, CareLink and PACE of Rhode Island; Marti Rosenberg, project director, State Innovation Model; Zachary Sherman, director, HealthSource RI; and Todd Whitecross, vice president, network contracting, commercial products, Tufts Health Plan.
