BenchStrength appoints new chairman

BARRINGTON – BenchStrength International, a Rhode Island-based technology consulting firm for the insurance industry, has appointed an insurance and technology veteran as its new chairman.
Peter Presland, who has more than 35 years experience in the two industries, has been asked to oversee BenchStrength’s global expansion plans.
“He brings an impressive record of success having been involved with both insurance and technology companies at the highest levels,” said Gavin Hunter, president and founder of BenchStrength International. “I’ve had the pleasure of working with Peter in the past and have great respect for his deep industry knowledge and expertise.”
Presland has served as chairman with Safe Computing Limited, Vocalink Holdings Limited, and Total Objects Limited, according to a BenchStrength.
He was also an adviser to the CEO and non-executive director for Ceridian Europe.
Earlier in his career, Presland was the founding CEO and later chairman of Rebus Group PLC. He served 17 years as chief financial officer, then CEO of C.E. Heath PLC, a major international insurance group.
