Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island is thrilled to announce a $50,000 grant award from Centreville Savings Bank Charitable Foundation.
This generous gift will be used to empower the organization’s crucial meal programs, social services and outreach to senior and disabled clients through the state. A portion of the award will be used to fund the newly named Centreville Bank Emergency Meal Program! This Program provides additional meals that are “shelf stable”, making sure thousands of homebound clients have meals when inclement weather or other emergencies prevent the organization from delivering meals.

Since 1969, Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island has focused on the nutritional well-being, independence, dignity and safety of our seniors, the homebound and disabled. As the only non-profit Home-Delivered Meal Program in the state, the organization also provides Senior Café and Restaurant Programs, an Emergency Response System Service, a Pet Food Program and Senior Wish Program. Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island provides “peace of mind” for homebound seniors and their respective caregivers or family members.
