Charest promoted to president of Landmark

WOONSOCKET – The promotion of Richard R. Charest to president of Landmark Medical Center was announced by CEO Gary J. Gaube.

Charest, of North Smithfield, was previously the hospital’s chief administrative officer. He has worked at Landmark for 35 years. A pharmacy graduate of Northeastern University, he has an MBA in health care administration from Bryant College (now Bryant University).

Charest is also president of the Rehabilitation Hospital of Rhode Island.

“Rick’s expertise and leadership in managing the operations of the hospital has been vitally important to me as we have moved the hospital forward at significant pace, especially in this past year,” Gaube said.
